I finally made a great t-shirt to go with my favorite jeans. It only took a year - but I finally succeeded in making the all American outfit. Of course, the jeans are starting to fall apart after a year of almost constant wear.

I just starting sewing some clothes for myself and came across your blog. Reading it has been a huge motivation for me. I love your t-shirt! Is there a specific pattern you used?
I made my own pattern based on one of my favorite old shirts. It's fairly close to this pattern - Butterick 4198. http://www.butterick.com/item/B4198.htm?search=4198&page=1
I don't know if you have a JoAnn Fabric Store nearby, but they occassionally have sales on Butterick patterns for $1.99 (limit ten). They also run sales on Simplicity, McCall's, & Vogue, but the Vogue go only down to $3.99.
