Keiler! Congratulations on the article in Fiberarts - that's how i found you! i have added you to my favourites and will be checking back for any hints and tips and of course, to just see how you're going! i'm a mainly self taught sewer so any advice is helpful! the jeans that you write about in the previous post look fantastic. is the pattern readily available? i'm in australia. i find it nearly impossible to find the perfect jeans for my body. cheers samm
Hi there, I too found you through Fiberarts. What fun! Very inspiring. I am a weaver who has a B.A. in Apparel Design BUT I am not fond of sewing. My wardrobe is in shreds because I don't like the clothes (or the prices) I find in the store. I had just started to gather my materials and determination to sew myself some clothes when I found your article, and now blog. I will be keeping tabs! -Renee
Hi Keiler, I also read about your blog in Fiberarts. I have to thank you for the last half hour; I laughed so much reading your older entries. I feel your pain with some of your less successful projects. I sew everything I wear now, and I still remember starting off and feeling so discouraged that yet another metre of fabric and 20 hours of work was completely unsalvagable. You have such a beautiful style of observing the world around you; it's unlike most other blogs and I find it simply charming. Good luck for your sewing in 2009.

Thank you both!
Samm - the jeans pattern is included in the book Sew U by Wendy Mullin.
